utorrent4200
I want to share my music without hassle. When i download mp3's and music videos they all go into the same folder and my torrent file goes into a seperate folder. But once i go and sort my mp3's and music videos into there own folders the torrent files can't automatically find them. I am constantly moving things around. Is there a simple solution for this so i don't half to go thur every single song and create a new torrent. Im looking for a quick 30 second solution as I am constantly downloading and would like to share. Thanks
DreadWingKnight
You need to inform uTorrent of any files you move when you do this. And if you rename files in a batch torrent, you need to do this individually per-file.You are wasting massive amounts of time and effort by making a new torrent every time you move your files. utorrent4200
I don't have hardly the slightest clue on how to use torrent's. But i do know how to download them. So when i download a mp3 or video and move the music how do I make it so I can share it. If you could give basic steps. Thanks
DreadWingKnight
If you're downloading it, leaving the file where you download it to, not renaming it, and not removing it from uTorrent will allow it to be shared.Remember to not treat uTorrent like traditional p2p programs like limewire though. It isn't anywhere close to those.
utorrent4200
Im totally moving the actually file thats being played/viewed to a sub-folder. This is how my file goes: Music (sub folders are) torrents, mp3's, music video's, misc, and downlaoded. I download into the downloaded and the torrent goes into the torrent folder. Then i move the music to its proper folder and leave the torrent file in the torrent folder. But that makes it so it can't seed. Sometimes I will downlaod a large file and delete songs out of it. But MOST of the time I download individual songs and move them around. So how do I update the torrent? Is there a way to automatically update 500 torrents? DreadWingKnight
You stop the torrent, right-click on it and set the download location. As long as you aren't renaming files, this will allow you to continue to seed.
utorrent4200
How do I change the torrent once its in its new location. Saying the files it contains is untouched (no renaming no deleting).
utorrent4200
I just tried downloading a torrent and I hit "STOP" then I searched for a way to browse for a new folder for it to be downlaoded to and nothing was avaialble. I prefer to download everything into my "downloaded" folder and then sort thru them and update the torrent at that time. how do i do that? step by step d
utorrent4200
Also how do i seed a bunch of torrents without redownloading them? My problem here is that i drag and drop torrents into uTorrent and it wants to download them but I have already downloaded them.d
DreadWingKnight
Preferences - UI Settings - "Show a dialog that displays the files inside the torrent" needs to be checked. You can then tell uTorrent where the existing files are.
