DingoCC
Have set to only seed 15 torrents. uTorrent is 'consuming' about 350Mb/hr in downloads. What is going on here? Surely it doesn't take that must traffic to maintain the tracker?
DreadWingKnight
The tracker communication isn't the only protocol overhead that is REQUIRED for things to function.
DingoCC
OK, then let's pull this thing apart. How can I see what is generating the download traffic?
DreadWingKnight
Large peer counts on your seeding tasks will cause large numbers of piece requests coming from them.High upload speeds will cause large numbers of "Have" messages and other piece requests from other peers. That's not factoring in connection churn handshakes. DingoCC
Sounds interesting. What settings do I change to limit the traffic?
