Hi all,

uTorrent is absolutely awesome, but in order to make it work better with my current step I would like to remove the /gui/ section from the web address. Is there any way you can prevent uTorrent from hosting its website in a subfolder and instead just use http://ip:port. I cant find anything obvuo

Secondly, I know you can normally provide a web address in the form http://user:pass@ip:port/ but for some reason I cant make it work for uTorrent I just get an error about not finding the server. Am I missing something or is this not possible?

Many thanks, CHris

There isn't any way to do it in uTorrent. It's actually blocked.

Internet explorer error messages are useless for troubleshooting.

Thanks for the reply, interesting reading, I have managed to sort the username and password query, seems Chrome had the same problems as I.E but Firefox was better (I just drifted away from it as it has been getting slower for a while and I got fed up with it).

As far as blocking the hosting address that seems strange to me.... Why would they prevent you from using any hosting address? Its not like you can host two things on the same port so it doesnt seems to solve any problems...
