namooth
My internet speed is 1.875 MB (15Mbit). All the web tests indicates that that's the case but when i download something from a torrent the max speed i always get is 1.6 MB.Of course in preferences my Maximum global rate is set to 0. I'm using the latest beta 3.1.2also Disabling uTP didn't do anything
DreadWingKnight
The numbers aren't factoring in protocol overhead, especially if you're running with a LOT of connections open. You're getting over 85% of your line's rated speed. The only way to turn up the actual download is to turn down the number of connections. Once you get to about 90-95% of your rated speed, you won't be able to get any faster. namooth
I've tried reducing my Global maximum number of connections from 750 to 50 but i'm still on 1.6Mbit
DreadWingKnight
uTorrent displays in *byte/sec, not *bit/sec.You're probably still dealing with now-unavoidable protocol overheads keeping your speed at 1.6MByte/sec. It's not something we can really fix at this point, although you need to turn down your per-torrent limits and the number of active torrents whenever you turn down global connection limits.
