Getting red exclamation mark at bottom right of screen

says not connectable, a firewall/router is limiting your network traffic. you need to open a port so others can connect to you.

not very good on programmes need step by step.

seemed to be ok before put latest version on

read through before starting, try clicking the options on top right of utorrent and select setup guide and click on run tests, if no joy then try this, in settings-connection-listening port, set it to 45682, enable upnp port mapping and nat pmp port mapping, DO NOT enable randomize, on the bit torrent setting enable all except limit local peer bandwidth, set outgoing encrytion protocol to forced and allow incoming legacy connections, remembering to apply on each page as you go through this, do not enable transfer cap on next, now the last and slightly tricky bit, go to advanced at the bottom of the selections on the left click once and in the list see bt allow same ip, set this to true, not sure about win xp, but normally just a double click does the job but you may have to do something else, either way keep it up till it shows on rescreen what you want it to set to, then scroll down about half way and set dht rate to 2, finally scroll down nearly to bottom and set rss update interval to 20, then restart utorrent, dont worry if it says like it normally does (warning do not modify) its only so novices dont balls it up, if your not sure about doing all this then write down the last 3 advanced bits i just mentioned and if you think its gone tits up then you can just reset each of the last 3 bits, the last 3 bits are the only things which are a little tricky, the first things i mentioned are as per normal settings, you may not have to do the last 3 things, it may clear the problem but their there if you need them, also log onto your rougter with internet explorer, type in the adress box cleared, 192.168.0.1 and find upnp and tick the box, apply, and logout, restart utorrent and see

my ISP block torrent site badly . Now what can i do. use proxy or other job. anyone can give answer to me.plz plz

<munched - spam>

You can:

- Use a proxy.

- Change your ISP.

- Move to another country, where ISPs don't block torrent sites.

Pick your poison.

I'd choose to change the ISP, because proxies are generally bad for speed.

you could try and use BTGuard for like an extra 5 or so quid a month at worst or you could maybe try anchorfree hotspot, its a free vpn, (the best one to date) and before anyone wades in saying its a load of crap and full of ads,well yes it does have ads but their only like a smallish banner on the top of the browser and its not full of them, and after just a few seconds or so you can turn them off, also i noticed that when on torrent sites its not normally there anyway which is good for what you need, hulu which you can not watch movies from here in the uk is a good example, with this you can, ta-da, also you can disable it from the taskbar (bottom right) after youve done getting your torrents too, it does interfere with torrent downloading so disable before you start torrent client, it was funny when i tested it on a site where they tell you what info your giving away when online such as ip address, location etc, mine was correct first(uk) then when i turned on hotspot it said i was a different ip address somewhere in america, haha, you can always delete it if you dont want or like but give it a go, what you got to lose, its free and has no settings, just conect and go, if youve ever been denied access or service from some sites then it'll probably let you with this...
