utorrent.exe's ram usage approaches 100% and utorrent stops responding

I'm using utorrent 3.2.1 build 28086. It doesn't technically crash, it just stops responding after the ram usage approaches 100% so there is no crash report. This happens approximately 15 min after being started. I've checked all the possible solutions in the sticky. None apply. This is a new install of windows that is used only to run utorrent and share files over smb and FTP. Otherwise, nothing has been installed on this box. I am now running security essentials as well, but was not before the problem started. No viruses detected. *The torrents I am running also have virtually zero chance of containing viruses btw* I have tried both with and without the windows firewall activated.

I'd be greatly appreciative of anyone with advice. Please keep in mind that I have several hundred torrents loaded, and would need to know how to save this in order to delete / re install as reloading them all would be far too time consuming if even possible. Please help!

I wasn't sure if you were asking for a hijack this log of utorrent.exe (or if that was even possible.) I did some research and didn't uncover a way to do that so I've posted a regular hijack this log in my original post at the bottom. Please let me know if I've misunderstood.

What disk cache settings do you have?

What internet security software do you have installed?

I only use Microsoft Security Essentials. I had the disk cache setting set all the way up to 1700MB as per a form I found that fixed my "disk overload" problem. I've set it down to 400MB and the crash problem has fixed itself but I am now getting the "Disk overload" problem again. This greatly limits my download speed. When I am not running into the cache problem I max out my line at 7MB/s.

Thanks for the advice on the crashing issue! I greatly appreciate it. It was driving me insane. Do you have any suggestions for a happy middle ground to fix the disk overload problem without running into the crash problem?

Does the disk overload issue persist with newer versions such as the 3.2.2 beta or 3.3 alpha?

Unfortunately I cannot try these versions because the private trackers I use have not yet white listed them. Don't get me started on private trackers and their PITA client rules... Though, I can say that I doubt they would fix the issue because the disk overload is a long standing issue for me. I've pretty much always had to manually set the disk cache. Are there any known issue with particular SATA Hard drives perhaps?

There has been some major reworking of the disk subsystem in the 3.3 alpha. That's why I asked about it.

Of course I'd like to take advantage of all my bandwidth but right now I am happy just to have a stable client! I'll just wait until the 3.3 version is white listed and see if the problem is fixed then.
