hotdog125 Posted November 11, 2012 Report Share Posted November 11, 2012 Just the other day i was downloading a file thru internet explorer n it went at full speed on my 4mbps connection.i cut the file n gave it to my friend by mistake.And today, i realised it was gone so i decided to download it again....same link....and then... shock...the download speed went at around only 30-odd even with utorrent closed....any good torrent still gave full speed in utorrent!i tried a download manager, clearing cache,cookies, new browsers (about 5-6 of them), etc., yet still,the file downloaded too slow...... and all this WITH UTORRENT CLOSED.but, the speed is fine on utorrent!how is that possible?BTW, i updated utorrent to a newer build...any solutions guys? hotdog125 Posted November 12, 2012 Author Report Share Posted November 12, 2012 ok i tried changing net.half_open to 4 from 100..... it seems to work....cuz in windows xp, the file downloads at full speed...the problem only in win8...thanks anyways guys...
