Very low download speed when downloading on a network drive

Greetings people!

First of all I want to thank you for this great piece of software - uTorrent.

I am using uTorrent for several years now with no problems. However yesterday I bought an external HDD - WD My Book Essentials 3TB and connected it to my WiFi rooter Linksys EA4500.

Then I shared the HDD from the router and mapped as network drive on 2 of my computers HP 8710w (Windows 7 ultimate x64) and Sony Vaio Y Series (Windows 7 Ultimate x86).

I have uTorrent 3.2.3 on both computers and when I start a download to my external disk, at first the speeds reach 3-4 MBps and then fall to 9 KBps and stay there.

I tried disabling disk cache but did not help at all.

I changed cache size to 500 MB. And I noticed speeds are working good until the first 500 MB are downloaded. After that speed again stays at 10 KBps.

If I run uTorrent downloading to my external disk for more than 10-20 mins, it halts with BSOD.

Please give me an advice how to fix this.

Thank you in advance!
