DrAmeer
Hello everyone,i like to move & sort my downloads, delete unwanted files & rename them, so my question is: can i keep seeding those files with new names/missing files (deleted ones) & such ? cuz i can relocate my files & keep seeding them easily but the problem is when deleting some files like the .txt spamming about sites or sample files, the torrent can't seed cuz of missed files & re-downloads again when force start/check.help ? thanks in advance =)
DreadWingKnight
Stop deleting those small "unwanted" files. You're corrupting the pieces of the torrents they're in.
DrAmeer
so it can't be done ? i have to keep every file in my torrents ?another question please, what is the normal seeding goal that i reach to be a good seeder ?& if there is a dead/semi-dead torrent that happens i have it but not full (like a semi-dead e-book, but the original torrent has some "un-wanted" files that i dont have, can i continue seed such torrent after i download those files ? DreadWingKnight
Because of cross-file pieces, deleting those files effectively corrupts the torrent.Normal seeding goal is 100%-150% (150% being the uTorrent default)If you re-download the missing pieces, you will become a seed again. DrAmeer
thanks for you answers, being annoying with all those questions 1 more thing, the 100% seeding goal, can you please explain it to me ? does it mean that some person downloaded the whole torrent ? or something else ? DreadWingKnight
It means for every byte you've downloaded, you've uploaded one byte to someone.
