ciaobaby Posted February 17, 2013 Report Share Posted February 17, 2013 whats the best settings to use in utorrent to prolong ssd life when it comes to writes?Using a different drive, one that is NOT SSD.Pre-allocation means at least TWO writes are required for each piece, one to allocate the space, one to write the data.Disk cache is RAM that is used BEFORE a disc write.But if you NEVER remove the data from the SSD and always put a new one in each time it is full it will last a lot longer.
