Settings default to 'Remote' window

Hi Folks: Hoping for some info so I can get rid of this 'default'.

In the Options, Preferences menu, I am unable to make any changes. Each time I try to Apply or Save, in ANY of the preference selections, I get kicked into 'Remote' window selection, and asked for a computer name, etc..

Using mu torrent 3.2.2 (build 28500) on my Toshiba laptop (running MS Windows 7).

This started happening about 6 weeks ago, and I do not know why. Have I inadvertently done something to cause this? Must have. Any ideas?? I would really appreciate them. I've scoured the forums and the help menus, but can't find any reference to this problem.
