ezekieldas
Hi --I'm using uTorrent 1.8.4 on OS X 10.7.5 I'm trying to find a feature that turns on/off resolution of peer ipaddrs. I can't seem to find this anywhere in "preferences" Is there any means to do this?edit: So I see how this can be done on a per torrent basis: peer list -> right click on peer -> resolve ips --but how might this be done _by default_? ciaobaby
What ever you set 'on' in the peers pane will be a global setting.
ezekieldas
Thanks ciaobaby --however that setting returns to default upon restart of the application. I'm hoping to find a means of permanently turning OFF name resolution.
ciaobaby
peer.resolve_country = false in the advanced settings.
ezekieldas
Advanced Settings in OSX is tricky: command-option-, (comma). However after setting 'peer.resolve_country = false' here the ipaddrs are still being resolved. The only thing this setting does is turn the little flag icons off. How can one permanently disable resolution of peer ip addresses? Is this even possible with utorrent? mvcl
In the GUI in OS X uTorrent v. 1.91 (30063), the sense of the flag is REVERSED! If you check the feature as if to enable it, the country flags and hostnames disappear and revert to IP nos.
Prthvi
utorrent mac keeps resolve ips whether you choose to enable or disable it, not reversed as mvcl said. I thinks it's a bug. I have seen this since two or three years ago when I got mac. I hope it will get fixing soon.
