malfromcessnock
Hi forum members. Been using UTorrent for a while and thought I knew how to use it. I've dl many programs and usually several at a time. Now I find UTorrent only dls one at a time even though I have half a doz set up and all metadata has been successfully checked. When the sole dl has finished I then need to RESTART UTorrent before another will begin. Any ideas of how to reinstate UTorrent to it's former glory. DreadWingKnight
You're using what version with what settings?
malfromcessnock
Hi DreadWingKnight - Version 1.9.1 (30063) and my setting are unlimited dowload and 10kb/s upload. In Aus, Telstra slows ul speed to about 5% of bandwidth. This hasn't been a problem before. I've dl gigabytes of data over the years. I have a 200GB monthly allowance. Looking forward to hearing your opinion on this. Cheers, Mal
DreadWingKnight
So you're using the mac version of uTorrent, posting in the windows section of the forums, and probably not giving us a complete view of the settings you're using.
malfromcessnock
Woops. I didn't realise DreadWingKnight. My first post here. Sorry about that. In order to help me, what settings do your want to know about. Up until now - I've only tweaked the upload settings and don't really know the importance of the others. Though I have set the client to dl anything up to 6 torrents at a time. Any more help I can give to allow you to help me more - just ask. Please. DreadWingKnight
If you have access to peer connection limit settings, knowing them will help.

malfromcessnock
Try setting uTorrent to run fewer torrents at once.DWK - I was using the Beta Version µTorrent beta (1.9.1 build 30063) when I had the dl problem of only being able to dl one torrent at a time. The problem persisted when I tried your tip of tweaking my settings. I just reinstalled the stable version 1.8.4 - 30291 and the problem has gone away. I am now dl several torrents at once. I have reported the problem to uTorrent. Cheers, Mal
