projayjay
Alright. I've been using uTorrent for 3 years+ and I've never had this problem. I've just built this new PC maybe 2.5 weeks ago and my PC would just freeze while downloading files on uTorrent. I left it alone for the night and generally it would freeze after two hours of running. Just today I left it running for two hours without uTorrent open and it was fine. This didn't happen to me until about a week ago. It could be the antivirus as I installed it at around the general time. I first had the McAfee AV, then I just switched today to BitDefender. It still freezes with BitDefender. For tonight, I'll turn off BitDefender and see if it freezes. Kitsoran
Nice build. And patience | replies don't come in a day, and even when they do the community may not be able to solve your issue. First two things that come to mind. First, don't just disable anti-virus, it leaves crap embedded that can still dick shit up. Try uninstalling it temporarily and see what happens. Second, what drivers did you install for everything, and from where?
projayjay
I uninstalled the AV Drivers: Samsung Magician for my SSDAMD CatalystAsus Wireless AdapterMB SATA/RAID/AHCI MB Audio (VIA)MB chipset driverMB LAN RealTek I think that's all. And I installed them all from either the Samsung SSD disk, or the MB website (gigabyte)

Kitsoran
Perhaps uT is causing some stress and something is failing. Since this is a relatively new build performing some stress tests to ensure the stability of your build may be prudent. Before that, go to the optional section of Windows Update, and install every update that begins with "Update for Windows", the descriptions should specify fixes for unspecified issues. Some diagnostic software:http://www.memtest.org/ Bootable memory testing software http://mersenne.org/download/#newusers Select the just testing/torture test and use Small FFT's. I'd run it overnight. http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html for monitoring temps during the prime95 run.
projayjay
Should I run all these tests with uTorrent Running?
Kitsoran
Memtest takes over while it runs and prime95 ideally you wouldn't use the PC while it runs.
projayjay
It was fine last night. Highest CPU Temp was 106 F and it didn't freeze.

projayjay
Alright thanks. Although, the only thing I had to do was uncheck the "Override automatic cache size and specify the size manually" and 128 was grayed out. I'll give it a try and see if it works.
