Help my wifi stops working when i download torrents

Hello when ever i download my torrent it downloads for about 10 min then my wifi becomes limited and if i disconnect it doesnt let me connect to any wifi unless if i restart my pc i use telus 25 mb plan and i have a realtek wifi lan driver and im on windows 8 can someone plss help me i just cant find the solution ive looked everywhere ive fixed it before longago but now i reinstalled it and just cant remeber how i fixed it before plsss help
