Disabled Cache

I was having a problem with the download being it at only 9.5kb/s so I looked for it's solution on the Internet but found nothing, so I started experimenting with uTorrent's setting then I came to Cache and proceeded to disable it and it worked, my download speed's back to normal. Question is, will it have a negative effect on my files or my PC?

I never had that problem expect when there wasn't a seeders to download from then I would drop in downloading speed. So without knowing more info as to what torrent is in question cache can be affect by various aspect like your hard drive space and memory usage that could be over taxed causing slow down til the system clears the cache for the next cycle. But with the limited info provide to know what is happening there.
