Jeff(Philly)
This problem just started in the last week or so. Happens with all torrents. Download speed up to 92,2 is great then it stalls. I updated to uTorrent 3.4 but it made no difference. I am running Windows 7 and getting torrents from oldpiratebay.org. I see other post with this 99,2% symptom in a google search but did not find a solution there. Anybody on this board have a solution?
DreadWingKnight
What is the torrent's listed availability?
Jeff(Philly)
I do not know what listed availability is. Please tell me how to determine this.PS: While I said it was all torrents in my post that is not accurate. I went back to the last torrent that I downloaded successfully and downloaded it again successfully. So.....?
DreadWingKnight
So check the info tab with the offending torrent selected and list off the availability number.
Jeff(Philly)
Thanks. On a torrent that worked the availability varied as high as 91.+ with speeds of up to 6mb/sec. On one that didn't work availability was stuck at 0.992 for the entire download. I cannot see the bottom of the characters in uTorrent so I am assuming that where there is a slight space it indicates a decimal point
kerly
Same here, works at 2-3Mb/s all the way until 99.2% then drops to no more than 1kb/s and won't finish the download. This has happened on everything I've tried for the last couple of days.
DreadWingKnight
And I'd bet every torrent you've tried has an availability less than 1.
Jeff(Philly)
Thank you DreadWingKnight. So what does an availability of less than one mean? Is it a fake Torrent or what?
DreadWingKnight
It usually means unseeded. You need to go back to the site you got the torrent from and ask for a reseed.
kaieous
I was having the same problem and the availability explains it... but these are torrents listed as having thousands of seeders? How is it that none of them are available? Or is there a way I can tell before I download most of a torrent?
Sigma27
So how do we get it to download again to a full 100%? Look for a new one and start over?
