Senomis
I am running on the latest U torrent client 1.8.1 with windows XP.For some reason though, each and every time I run u torrent, it works fine but after a while when it starts to download something from any source, it stops responding after a minute or 2 then it cant be close.Even the u torrent symbol on the task bar does not disappear. Can anyone tell me the reason for this and how to fix it? zorbathegeek
Dunno, perhaps try uninstalling Ut and then reinstalling? I've never had any locking up problems with Utorrent, even when using a creaky old PC.I suppose all that's left is to go back to basics:Have you got enough hard disk space? Have you got enough ram?Do you defrag regularly (p2p stuff is meant to cause increased fragmentation). What is task manager saying when Utorrent freezes? liquidsys
This seems to be a common problem. Lots of people complaining of this. I have the same issue on Vista 32bit premium.Version 1.6 uTorrent works fine, Version 1.7* and 1.8* all freeze up in seconds.
