Magnet Links stuck on 'Downloading Metadata'??

All of my magnet downloads are stuck on 'downloading metadata'??

 

I have Total VPN installed and i am on Mac OSX 10.11.4.

Does the problem persist without the vpn?

Then the problem is either that something in your setup is blocking magnets (You need DHT enabled for it) or the magnets were generated from torrents that originally had the private flag on them.

Is it possible that my router is preventing me from downloading?? How do i disable DHT??

You don't want to disable DHT. Disabling DHT breaks magnets.

It is possible that settings in your router are blocking.

So how do i make sure that DHT is enabled??

In uTorrent's preferences. And you need to make sure to unblock it in any firewall you have.

Magnets are still not working and file downloads aren't either, as i have just noticed.

Hi, I looked into unblocking my router and realised that the router isn't the problem as it isn't blocking anything, so i still can't download, but at least i know it isn't the router. Thanks for all your help:)
