DarkReaper
I was using the 1.5.1 Beta and the memory usage was hovering around 5MB. Now, it hovers around 8-10MB.I was wondering what upgrade made Utorrent use extra memory.

DarkReaper
I meant when I made the upgrade to 1.6, the memory usage went up to that amount. It actually hovers from 8-14MB.
Kazuaki Shimazaki
I think it is the new cache system acting up, that's all. Try turning the cache off and see if it decreases. Stil, I bet it is bigger, because they added more, again.
Ultima
If it's uploading/downloading, the cache system will make the memory usage vary greatly, and generally increase it. But that's a Good Thing™ as it stops the Disk Overloaded thing from happening on even gigabit connections.
Firon
It uses more memory for caching, simple as that. Should drop when you a) close the window stop downloading
