  2. haha.. someone would suggest changing the port now..
  3. even if it clears the peer list it would be the same.. other people have your IP address and will try to reconnect to u once u're gone..
  4. shouldnt it clear the peer list? it's just disconnecting now but keeps them in the peer list and connects back again to the same peers..
  5. human stupidity cannot be fixed
  6. as an administrator in a tracker serving only the purposes of my ISP and visible from its users only, i'd want peers to be able to obtain new local peers, but not any external.. anyways, i've never seen LPD to be that effective to influence the situation.. on a larger scale, LPD not working if there's a private flag seems good..
  7. it asks "do you want to install?" when u first start it
  8. congrats on the final release (i dont want to call it stable since 99% of the betas were stable ) and i'm looking forward for the 1.8 series
  9. great.. on a side note, i hope that field will be larger for translation
  10. i suggested for it to be in the context dialog for globally limiting speed below the "Unlimited" option..
  11. 2922 no longer brings a confirmation dialog when the X-button is clicked right-click -> Exit on the tray icon however does work.. odd
  12. the torrent list searching feature (searchbox livesearch) is broken in 2740 while it worked in 2733
  13. it's a bit different, but still.. all adapters are searched for local peers, which means that uT considers peers from all subnets from all adapters local and tries to add them to the peer list.. but it doesnt count them as local when it's upto limiting speed..
  14. i mean, it's ignoring the limit (no matter which one..) it's ignoring the individual limit for the torrent and the global too.. i guess it doesnt count them as local.. that's bad.. even if it does, it still wont work correctly for me since my ISP has several subnets (around 10..), peers of which could give me 100Mbit/s and there's no way for uT to know that.. a list somewhere where we could specify IP ranges (or subnets) would be cool EDIT: aaahh --- 2007-05-31: Version 1.7 (build 2248) - Change: uTorrent now no longer forks on uninstallation so it should correctly be removed from add/remove programs on windows 95 varieties - Change: include all adapters in subnet search for local peers - Change: consider peers in reserved local ranges as local peers - Change: don't limit local peers by default - Change: sort RSS release qualities - Fix: download rate limiting bug - Fix: fix a bug with force recheck from 2224 if that's true, than it's some sort of bug
  15. unlimited speed for local peers seems broken no matter where it's set (individually for the torrent or globally).. shouldnt a peer from my external subnet get unlimited speed, or that's not counted as local?

  17. when it's finished.. the beta is full enough
  18. nothing new utorrent registers it in the uploaded column too.. it even reports it to the tracker u just cant tell if it's uploading or not only by monitoring the speeds from utorrent u either need an external program or a sensitive ear to monitor the slightest changes in HDD activity
  19. dandar3, is the peer local? check the thread in my previous post.. it might be the same thing..
  20. uk10, rennIkS, can u confirm that: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=22230
  21. my bad.. it doesnt work globally too.. the speed may have dropped a bit by a coincidence when i set the limit and i assumed that i worked..
