condor299
Hello, I have turned off auto-update in uTorrent since it opens a webpage everytime the program get an update. It is really annoying that it does that. On top of that; unchecking install updates by itself is not respected. uTorrent installs updates anyway, and then presents the "You updated to this and this version"-webpage. Fix this or I will change torrent client.

justanuser
Is this solution available for the stable version? thanks!
condor299
@mike20021969 Well as it turns out: no. It has not been fixed. I have the latest version. Get all new versions, and the auto. update box unchecked.

Aren't the update option boxes "greyed" out? How did you un-check it? As for "all new versions" - there's only been 1 beta since 3.5.0.44010, and that's 3.5.0.44050. That's not the latest version. 3.5.0.44010 beta is where the fix is at. It's possible it's also included in 3.5.0.44050 beta.
condor299
Ah, there we go. Thank you for the information. I will keep this version and let it auto update until it reach the stable version that is 44010 or above. Also is there an 64-version coming out soon? DreadWingKnight
64-bit was tried years ago, it offered no performance gains and a whole lot of instability.

condor299
Because it is a beta. Also didn't check my version since there was no immedient need for it since I got the latest update just as I posted and a day after that or so. Thought that the beta was behind what I had/got. mike20021969
This may/may not help: Exit uTorrent. Delete file updates.dat (found in uTorrents application data folder). Launch program. See what happens in the coming days...
