eds Posted January 12, 2018 Report Share Posted January 12, 2018 When trying to enter my activation key I receive "Failed to reach the activation server" and similarly for trying to update utorrent build 44332. I wonder if it is related to the recent Meltdown/Spectre fixes from MS? Internet is working normally. No anti-virus except MS Defender. eds Posted January 14, 2018 Author Report Share Posted January 14, 2018 I tethered a mobile phone to the desktop, and used network connection to activate. This worked. It would obviously be useful if we knew what port/protocol was necessary for activation, since something must have been blocked on the main network.
