neelendhar Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 i downloaded fedora core6 cds but there are some download errors.but utorrents is showing 100%. is there any method to check if the whole file is downloaded with out any errors. if errors are there means, how can i recover them without downloading the whole file please any one reply soon.is it that ratio to be maintained 1.00 after the 100% download is over ??????????????waiting for u r valuable replies.
Ultima Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 Stop the torrent, right click, and force a recheck. If µTorrent doesn't find any errors, then there aren't any errors with the download =T
neelendhar Posted November 11, 2006 Author Report Posted November 11, 2006 thanks for u r reply moderator but utorrents is not showing single error is there any other way
Ultima Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 Where exactly did you download this .torrent from? Directly from the Fedora Core Project?
neelendhar Posted November 11, 2006 Author Report Posted November 11, 2006 yeah this is the link where i downloaded the torrent http://torrent.fedoraproject.org/torrents/Zod-binary-i386.torrent
neelendhar Posted November 11, 2006 Author Report Posted November 11, 2006 can u say me how the Recheck option works i.e how it checks
DreadWingKnight Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 Pieces are verified against the SHA1 hashes defined for them in the .torrent file.If a torrent says the files are fine and the files don't work for you, it's the fault of whatever you're trying to use (and ultimately not a uT issue).
splintax Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 i downloaded fedora core6 cds but there are some download errors. What sort of download errors? Where are these errors coming up?If they're coming up when you attempt to install Fedora, maybe you had a problem with burning the ISO, or you scratched the disc.
