josh2
Ok, here's my problem. I'm a member of a couple private torrent sites and I upload my uploads to most of them. I create the first .torrent, upload it, start seeding. Create the second, upload, and uTorrent asks me to load to peers from it, as it's already in the list. I do. Ditto for the second .torrent. I assumed uTorrent would keep track of which tracker the peer came from and report the tracker data accordingly. Not so.Now here's my problem, if someone from site a, b, or c leeches it, the upload amount is sent to all three trackers! Therefore artificially increasing my ratio and possibly getting me banned. 1. Is this a bug?2. Is there any way I can fix this without having multiple copy of the files? This is a serious problem for me as I really don't want to be banned from these private trackers but don't have extra disk space for three or four copies of the same files!Any help is appreciated.edit: I suppose my version info would help. I'm using the latest version on the uTorrent site, 1.6.1 build 490. And not sure if it has anything to do with it, but it's in Microsoft Vista. DreadWingKnight
1> no.2> no.This is a flaw in private trackers at the concept level.
Firon
Pretty much. There's nothing you can do about it apart from just dealing with it, or not using 3 trackers at once.
TheBear
You don't need multiple copies of a file you are seeding with different trackers when using individual torrents.
