And how big are these files?If a piece that overlaps 2 (or more) files is needed for only 1 file it will still be downloaded completely. So even if you skip certain files they might be (partially) downloaded because they are (partially) part of a piece you need for another file. If its downloading more then 10% of those 350MB files then something is definitely wrong. When a 4MB piecesize torrent has been made properly piece overlap could explain up to 8MB (two times the size of a piece) download of a skipped file (3% in the case of a 350MB file).
