Spokje
Hello,I read this in the wiki FAQ:diskio.coalesce_writes tries to minimize the number of calls to WriteFile. It doesn't have any effect at all on download speed, but it might cause marginally less disk writes (at the expense of more memory / CPU).Default this option is set on 'false'. If i set it on true, will it do the above? ^^I used to run BitComet, and Utorrent seems slightley faster. Bitcomet allocated 6-50 MB of memory for cashing files before writing them to the Harddrive. This is less stressful for the drive.Does diskio.coalesce_writes the same? Cause i don't mind if Utorrent uses 3 MB of memory or 50 What are the optimal settings for saving the harddrive ?
