MattOnTheNet Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 Probably a question that has been asked before, though I don't seem to find it. Anyway. Can anybody inform me why my dowload file (521MB) seem to stop at 81% while my upload data exceeds at this moment 1,62GB ?! I'm downloading 1 file and my UI shows seeds 0(0) and peers 62(161)Matt
Lord Alderaan Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 Is the availability below 1 (maybe 0.81)? If so then there are pieces of the download nobody has. There is nothing more you can get and you won't be able to complete your download unless it is reseeded (someone with the missing pieces comes back). You keep sending data because new people try and download the file and you send to them.
MattOnTheNet Posted June 5, 2007 Author Report Posted June 5, 2007 Tnx for your reply and yes!, you're right. Availability is indeed 0.81!Thanks!Matt
µtorrent-Guest Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 if below 1.000 torrent probably dead at the moment (if not fake after all)you can double click the torrent in question and limit the upload rate to 1 kb while you wait for a genuine seeder hopefully coming back on that torrent. And use your uploadbandwith to other torrents that do have an availability above 1 and are more likely to finish successfully.
Switeck Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 If you limit the upload rate to only 1 KiloBYTE/sec, also limit upload slots to only 1 for that torrent. No use splitting such a tiny upload many ways.
