Uninstallation and Reinstallation

I briefly tested uTorrent out using public trackers and found it ineffective. Now that I am using it for my private tracker since BitComet .6 is banned it functions perfectly.

Anyways my question is i originally had it instaleld with the shortcuts, then deleted the shortcuts and the executable, but when i reinstalled it, it maintained the settings from before and also the last torrents i used but didn't install new short cuts

Is there a way to uninstall it so when you run it again you can install the shortcuts and have clean settings.

I think you can delete the settings by deleting the following folder in Windows XP (replace USERNAME with your windows username):

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\uTorrent

I'm not sure where they would be stored on a Windows 9x system though.

The folder "%appdata%\utorrent" should work on all Windows systems.

You only have to delete settings.dat and settings.dat.old; you can keep resume.dat if you wanna keep your torrent list. Otherwise, delete it too.
