Cannot access file

Every time I try to download a file, I get this mesage. " Windows cannot access the specifird path or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access item" What do I do?

Are you running as a limited windows user instead of administrator mode?

Right-click/Copy the Save As field in the detailed info pane's General tab and try visiting it (or its container directory, moving upwards if it fails) via Start > Run. If that works, try creating a file there.

Or the faster way of right-click on the torrent in the main torrent pane and say "open containing folder"... unless of course that also errors out.

Which is what the "visiting it or its container directory" might help with. The "open containing directory" won't help if the directory doesn't exist in the first place.

Concurred, sorry I misread your comment Thibodg I would also check your configuration under Ctrl-P -> Downloads and make sure you are saving THAT DIRECTORY to an existing one... it may be it was setup incorrectly in which case all automatically added torrents (those not added through Ctrl-D "No default save") will precipitate this error.
