j1
I just downloaded a OGM file and downloaded the codec for it to work(http://tobias.everwicked.com/oggds.htm)it works fine with my divx player but the subtitle dosn't show is the problem with the OGM file or the divx player itself thanks in advance
splintax
probably the OGM file, since that's an ogg media container..frankly i'm surprised your divx player works at all! you mean a hardware divx player hooked up to your tv, right?if you mean the divx player software bundled with the divx codec, i suggest you get a new player as that one isn't very good... i recommend VLChttp://www.videolan.org/vlc/and that will work without installing any additional codecs post back here if you have problems getting the subtitles to play in vlc
sixshot
Another alternative is to simply use Media Player Classic. You can grab it from here and you should be able to view OGM files easily. Most of the intricate stuff regarding OGM is already built into the player. Firon
spintax: DivX player is the software player the divx codec comes with (it sucks even more than WMP)
Ultima
The Combined Community Codec Pack works very well for playing most files. It includes MPC, and... well just check out the site if you want to know more about it =P
Firon
I hate CCCP and its crappy settings and old stuff.

Ultima
@Firon: CCCP has worked flawlessly for me (?). Heh I used VLC, and it was too buggy, IMO, for some things (the sound was choppy and skippy and whatnot for a video). It might have been an isolated case, but I dumped VLC anyway, turned to CCCP, and didn't turn back =P
splintax
Ultima: I sometimes get problems with VLC for files with strange codecs, I play them in WMP and it tends to work OK..
Firon
I use ffdshow builds from x264.nl (sometimes from doom9 threads), with my own settings that work just fine. haali media splitter for MP4/OGM (MPC's mp4 splitter is SLOW), vsfilter (sometimes, I've been using MPC's 6.4.8.7 internal subs lately so I think I might dump VSFilter, because it's FINALLY working in non-VMR9R mode!), and that's it.
