BUT on Utorrent my speeds at the moment are 10kbps or below.. they never go above 40kbps.. its so annoying.. how come they arn't reaching 300kbps or 100kbps!!! PLEASE HELP!!!THANKS!!!!!!!! Switeck Posted March 4, 2008 Report Share Posted March 4, 2008 I believe your ISP hates BitTorrent traffic and really cripples the speed because of it, especially during 'peak hours'.You may be confusing line speeds in kilobits/sec for file transfer speeds in KiloBYTES/sec.Your upload speed may be set too high or low for your connection. jewelisheaven Posted March 5, 2008 Report Share Posted March 5, 2008 Switeck is correct, you are misinterpreting your speedtest results and using the established KiBps units instead of Kbps which is what they and ISPs advertise speeds in. If you check Speed Guide (Ctrl-G) and apply settings for xx/96 Kbps you should be OK. I would however recommend referencing How-To (linked below) post #2 for turning off all unnecessary features because you are on a highly impacted line.
