LiQuiD_FuSioN
Why doesn't my RSS feed work with uTorrent 1.7+?Because of this, I have to keep reverting back to 1.6.1 as it works. When using 1.7+, no new downloads are picked up. And I've followed all the directions too. What seems to be the problem? Please, help.

LiQuiD_FuSioN
Why is the feed URL useful? It's a passkey-type feed and is unique to the website I'm a part of.As for the rss.dat, I've entered in information manually with 1.7.7.
jewelisheaven
... Why, because some sites have broken feeds? If the cookie information is correct is it possible you're suffering the same problem as http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=313267#p313267 ? LiQuiD_FuSioN
I've decided to try the beta version of 1.8 and I'm glad to see that the program is 'connectable' on my newer computer. I'm still running into the RSS feed problem though. My feed URL looks something like this:http--//www.trancetraffic.com/rssdl.php?passkey=a3###################While in uTorrent 1.8, If I edit 'Edit' the feed and click on 'Automatically download items published in feed' then everything will be downloaded. If I select 'Do not automatically download items' then I will get nothing.Question now is why won't my filters work?
Firon
Remake your filters?
jewelisheaven
If it works when parsing the feed but not when manually using the feed, it certainly sounds like a Feed problem Are you sure the direct .torrent links are present in that raw feed (ie checking in a capable browser or feedreader).. i'm not sure how general purpose uT's RSS reading functions are. LiQuiD_FuSioN
I think the filters weren't entered in properly. I made a few test filters and I've had some success. I will keep an eye on my RSS feed to see if it keeps working. Some sites have different ways of using the filter, or maybe I'm talking out of my ass on this one, lol. jewelisheaven
The filter just determines what you download.... this is the same in the integrated 1.8 interface however there is bundled functionality for download ALL as a filter (i.e. include *) when adding a feed.Be sure the filter is pulling from the correct Feed/URL
LiQuiD_FuSioN
So far, so good. In the future, I can simply back up the rss.dat/old files, right?Other than that, I wonder why upgrading my uTorrent from 1.6.1 to 1.7.7 and then 1.8 made it connectable? I can't say that I'm more relieved, though! Thanks for the help, jewelisheaven.
