torrentfreak1
I know this site is for people that are good law obedient citizens. That goes without saying. But still, I'm curious, can you give me a few good examples of the legal use of peer-to-peer or torrents?Thank you
GTHK
Downloading GNU/Linux ISO's, which are really, really big. Also, legally downloadable music and movies.
torrentfreak1
I didn't know you needed to use torrents to download legal music on the web. When you pay for music, the site lets you download the song you want on its server.
jewelisheaven
Blizzard, Inc. uses bittorrent exclusively for large "patch" downloads. Fixes are packaged in their tiny (under 2 MiB update.mpq files) but for all releases since... 1.0, they used a modified python client... a client which btw leaks like a sieve. GTHK
Some places distribute music and movies for free using BT because it saves money on distribution costs, other people end up distributing for them.
