UTorrent Crash Problem with Detailed Notes - Please Help!

The Problem:

UTorrent v. 1.7.7, has not been running stable. It will run then freeze up, taking my bandwidth down with it. This does not happen at predictable intervals or after a particular event, it occurs every 3-6 mins or so sporadically. It locks up and after a patient wait 10sec – 10mins (no joke) it frees back up.

The Utorrent program will lock up, along with eliminating all effective bandwith for Firefox or IE. The download speed will drop like a rock, right before the lock up occurs.

I have tried many things to have this fixed, including following the advice I researched on this site, and having the At&t service come to my house and test my lines.

I have used the program in the past, and it works flawlessly. I want to thank the designers of the software for a great software. I am hopelessly lost on how to get this to work for this version and its seriously driving me crazy. Any and all help navigating though this problem is greatly appreciated!

Please let me know what other information would be helpful in the diagnosis of this problem.

Current Equipment

Processor: P4 2.5

Ram: 2GB ( My CPU Usage is normal during the "freeze")

Service: At&t U-verse 6meg down, 1 up, direct fiber connection

Ran LSPfix – Not sure what it does but wanted to try everything.

(Could not find the location for diable ip resoloving) and not sure if that is related

Patched TCP/IP setting

Cntr+G Settings = Default 2 Meg Settings

You're missing a Process Explorer DLL list. You don't mention if you're wired or wireless to the 2wire. Though you are running their wireless "manager". If you're only on 1Mbit upload cable, you don't use XX/2Mbit in the speed guide. As-is you'll see average throughput you get as the "flat" horizontal line by checking out the Speed tab and scaling back to 5 or 30 seconds. You should see a flat line with no noticeable spikes..... this is discounting your installation of Cfosspeed or "network monitor". Aside-- if you have cfosspeed what additional features does network monitor provide?

As far as continuing troubleshooting I'd start by stopping that 2wire manager, then the network monitor, then those extra services running through start->run->services.msc You can disable them all at once and enable them to see if the problem returns or turn them all off at once, your choice. The AVG processes should be irrelevant so you can keep them running. Do any of those scanner applications routinely "index" files? If so turn that off or turn them all off as the next step :/

Other than that it's good. OT: LSPFix is useful when you have extra/injected entries from mal/ad/crap-ware and need an easy way to "reset" the networking chain so you don't have say... timeouts because the hooks to route through some logging server is timing out.
