average joe
I've only been using utorrent off and on for about a year, but have been using it quite a bit lately. I've just realized that I could I could select files within torrents rather than download a huge package that I don't really need. Thats pretty neat. But it seems some files that I de-selected are downloading. The priority column shows "skipped" so I know I didn't leave them selected when I initialized the torrent. So I don't know if this is a bug or I'm not understanding something. Hopefully this is the correct place to post this. Thanks for a great program by the way.-Joe
jewelisheaven
Screenshot? When you select files for skipping, all in-progress pieces continue to download. Also any files in-between files which aren't skipped which are in the same piece will be downloaded. (Bittorrent doesn't see files, it sees pieces)
average joe
So some pieces contain parts from different files?
jewelisheaven
As I said... Ultima (the ever-vigilant guide creator) made this http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=262290#p262290
average joe
Now it's starting to make sense. I've been scratching my head all day on this. So will these extra (partial) files disappear when the download is done or will they complete?
