Tintor
Hola,Since this morning I can't UL or DL,it says I have a "listen error".I have been using Utorrent for months now without any problem so it strikes me as strange that happens. If anybody can help me to solve this,Thanks in advance,Tintor
Firon
Either there's a ghost utorrent.exe process (check the Task Manager), or something else is using the same port. If the first is true, close all utorrent.exe you find in your task manager. If the second is true, then just change your port, or close whatever's using it.http://www.utorrent.com/faq.php#What_does_listen_error_mean.3F
Tintor
Well I tried both of the options but none of them solved the problem. In the first option I could only find one utorrent.exe, which I guess is suposed to be there. And for the second option I tried loke ten times a different port but that didn't help either.Anybody else other ideas or can tell me what I'm doing wrong...Thanks,Tintor
1c3d0g
Grab SysInternal's TCPView and from there see which process is accessing the same port as µTorrent. Then you'll know which program is blocking/stealing the port (if that is the case).
Firon
Also, make sure your firewall isn't blocking connections.
Tintor
Firon and 1c3d0g both thanks for your advice but unfortunally nothing helped yet.I've always used ZoneAlarm without any trouble though when I disable it utorrent is still not working.I use since a few days Kaspersky, could it be that there is a problem created there even though it worked fine. Thanks,Tintor
chaosblade
Using Kaspersky 5.0.3xx here, And also the 2006 beta. Both work fine with uTorrent.

Tintor
Okay,it is working again but only with the older version 1.2.1 beta...If I try v1.3 again I get the listen error again,so I guess it is better for me to stick to this version.Anyway everybody thanks for there quick responses and everybody all the best for the new year...Tintor
