bugmenot
Found this link that tests for two types of BT throttling. It works. It confirmed my suspicions about my ISP. I hope that the creators of utorrent can figure out some way around it. Encryption doesn't work anymore. http://broadband.mpi-sws.mpg.de/transparency/bttest.php
jewelisheaven
Are you using 1.8? It includes existing workarounds in Azureus. An additional changes require trackers to implement different keys like the azureus extension or the BEP http://bittorrent.org/beps/bep_0008.html ... It sounds to me like more fundamental changes to the protocol would be needed to up the ante in the mousetrap game. I'd much rather someone smack ISPs over the head and get them to adopt more transparent practices.
