Ducky21
Here's the deal.I created a torrent full of music, but then I realized that one of the songs was mistagged. Being the music elitist that I wish I was, I fixed it. Being the BT noob I am, this broke the upload. I renamed the files to match the torrent, used Force Re-Check but now uTorrent reports that pieces (not the entire file) are missing, leaving me and all my leechers at 99.5%. The actual files are intact.Help?
jewelisheaven
remove the tags.. or make a new torrent :/See if the lack of tags makes it recheck to 100%. There's not much else you can do... unless you have some recovery files with the original tracks. These would commonly be extension .PAR or .PAR2
Ducky21
Tried that, it just downloaded the tags from peers. What's weird is its reporting pieces are missing from the next track too.example: the last piece from track 10 is gone (track 10 is the retagged one) and so is the first piece of track 11, which I didn't touch. jewelisheaven
Pieces rarely start/end on file boundaries. Therefore it may be EITHER / OR / BOTH the beginning of that track or the end of the previous one which does not match the ORIGINAL hashed data.Ultima, in usual fashion made a guide http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=262290#p262290
Firon
You have to remake the torrent. You have no other option, apart from leaving the files as is.
