tinnguyen123
ok i try this..SLOW/INTERRUPTED INTERNET CONNECTION OR OFFLINE TRACKERS while µTorrent is running * COMMON PROCEDURES (reiterated just to be sure) * Try lowering net.max_halfopen to 8 or lower (Can be found in Preferences > Advanced) * Try disabling IP resolving in the Peers tab's context menu * Try disabling DHT (Can be found in Preferences > BitTorrent) * Try disabling UPnP and NAT-PMP (Can be found in Preferences > Connection) * Try disabling peer.resolve_country if it isn't already set to false (Can be found in Preferences > Advanced) * Try lowering maximum global number of connections to 200? 100? 50? Lower? (Can be found in Preferences > BitTorrent) * Try patching TCPIP.sys (Windows XP w/ SP2, Windows 2003 w/ SP1, or newer)? Windows Vista users can try this out, but no guarantees are made. Users not on Windows XP w/ SP2, Windows 2003 w/ SP1, Windows Vista, or newer can skip this step. * Connect your computer directly to the modem to make sure the problem is not caused by the router * Restart your computer, modem, and router after performing any of the above---------------------------------------------------------------------------------# Color of the network status light in µTorrent's status bar (at the bottom of the µTorrent main window)its green---------------------------------------------------------------------------------What the port checker from the Speed Guide writesits 12349 if you mean the port im using..---------------------------------------------------------------------------------# What the Speed Guide shows your settings to be (press Ctrl+G in µTorrent)upload Limit: 22Connection(pertorrent): 50Max Active Torrents: 2Upload Slots: 2Connection(global): 100Max Active Downloads: 2these are my setting after all the speed guide didnt work---------------------------------------------------------------------------------What you have net.max_halfopen set to (Preferences > Advanced in µTorrent)its 8---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Operating system installed (Windows XP, 2000, ME, 98, 95, NT? Switeck
Try these settings (on top of stuff found in Ultima's Troubleshooting Guide) to see if it reduces offline problems further:Upload Limit: 22 KiloBYTES/second (unchanged from above)Alternate Upload while not downloading: 25 KiloBYTES/secondUpload Slots: 3 (or even 4!)Connection(pertorrent): 35Connection(global): 50Max Active Torrents: 2 (unchanged from above)Max Active Downloads: 2 (unchanged from above)Your line potentially may be able to upload as fast as 40 KiloBYTES/second...but you won't know how fast it can do so stably without testing. And you'll want to be at least slightly below that max speed while downloading OR surfing the web. So your current upload speed is just fine...you just may be able to go a little faster. tinnguyen123
hey with my current setting i havent got disconnected yet so its all good so can someone explain to me the reason my internet disconnect on me..?-is it because Utorrent allow too much traffic to connect to my comp which causes the internet to shutdown..? tinnguyen123
i used the speed guide.. of maximum like everything is 0 so my download speed is unlimted upload speed is unlimited etc.. then i read the threads so i slow the speeds down with the speed guide to xx/256kbs or something.. still disconnected me..before this happen i just moved and this new place have only basic DSL.. my old place had 10x speed dsl or something.. which might explain why back then i never got disc cuz i got better dsl.. but now i have basic so i guess i have to keep the setting low >.^..am i right..? Switeck
Well, infinite upload speed on a slow DSL line...is more likely to cause problems than on a very fast one.
tinnguyen123
uh... the problem starts again.. what should be download speed be...
Switeck
If you're on a torrent with no seeds and availability = how much you got...download speed will probably be 0.If you set uTorrent's half open connection max above 8, and windows updated...you're probably getting 4226 errors in Event Viewer. If you changed any settings in uTorrent...or got a virus...you might have problems.Something's different than before, and without more clues I can only guess.
