What happened from 1.7.7 and 1.8 to make every tracker not work.

MAD TORRENTER

Recommended Posts

I was downloading fine on 1.7.7 & ut prompted me to upgrade to 1.8.

Fine, but now ut is dead. nothing connects.

Every tracker both public & private will not connect.

I changed nothing on my systems & utorrent was working fine up untill the "upgrade".

I disabled my firewall & changed nothing on my settings etc... What changelist from 1.7.7. to 1.8 could have did this?

Also any other recommended lite torrent programs other than utorrent if this problem can not be fixed.

I have Charter cable broadband connected directly to my PC with a WebStar Scientific Atlanta, Inc DPC2100R2 Modem.

No proxy (that I know of), I have not downloaded anything in awhile to give me any maleware.

Strange thing is, this happens when I try to connect my modem to my Xbox 360 gaming console.

It will not connect at & the troubleshooting says something like IP not resolved or something, like it stops at the IP or the DNS settings when trying to connect. Funny thing is that the modem works completely fine on my PS3 & web browsers.

EDIT 2:

I also tried Winsock XP Fix & no luck.

EDIT:

my hijack this log is:

Don't disable ZA, uninstall the damn thing. When you "disable" Zonealarm the service keeps running and will continue to cause connection problems. And then there is the trash it leaves behind, use an uninstaller program like Revo, it's freeware.

In most cases Windows Firewall is good enough, especially if you have a hardware firewall. If you still want a stronger firewall than Windows get Comodo. You should also look at their other free security programs, BOClean is a good place to start.
