Increase cache size

I was a Vuze user, and I could increase the cache dize and reduce the wear of my HD when downloading torrents, it is possible to increase the cache size in utorrent and by how much?

my PC has 2GB of RAM.

Preferences > Advanced > Disk Cache will let you tweak cache settings. The manual has descriptions of each option.

Best I can tell, setting the cache larger than somewhere between 1000 and 2049 MB (not sure of exact amount) causes problems.

I just don't like the fact you spread nonsense on a public forum and slag it off in one place, and then ask the people here for support. It's a bit two-faced.
