Incapability
Alright, so I'm experiencing the whole "Insufficient system resources" thing, again - but I have no antivirus running, no Google Desktop, nothing at all - and it just happened without warning, without anything seeming to be able to provoke it.This is annoying, to say the least. Any ideas?
thelittlefire
Are you using the most recent 1.8.1 beta? There is a new diskio coalesce writes option... try reducing the value and see when the error stops occurring. The value is in bytes.
proghead
I tries and it worked fine.... for about a day! Now the value is down to 131072 and torrents keep falling with the same message. Any other ideas?

Ultima
Avira AntiVir Personal Edition is a free antivirus that has absolutely no problems with µTorrent, and has a much better detection rate than any of Symantec's products. avenger
I don't understand... Why so many commercial programs are faulty but µTorrent? Weren't it supposed to support 'average' windows then? hehNot that I like symantec or eset, but as too many people uses their applications I'd say µTorrent, released -after- them (as 1.7 version worked just fine). It would sound better saying that µTorrent will not never support running on systems with that applications, as it is free there's no reason we force the developers make it compatible and workaround some difficulties anyway. All we could possibly do is use another client without restrictions and such heh.By the way, that resource leakage problem could be related to µTorrent sucking all the computer's memory? When I open µTorrent, it start eating memory like popcorn (about the rate my upload is -- if I am upping at 10k/s it seems my memory fills in that rate) so in a day or so I got 1G-big process. By shutting it down and re-running the process is restarted and I have another day using the system until µTorrent reaches high memory consumption amounts.By the way, Avira AntiVir is really cool. I myself use it and recommend it. But it pokes you everyday with an ad -- not really an adware, is just a reminder to buy it! heh. Also, the free version of avira is just antivirus, no spyware and no more. To complete the protection I use SuperAntispyware. Their sites are resp www.free-av.com and www.superantispyware.com. Volvox
I got this Resources probelms too. It seems to affect only bigger torrents, because i downloaded few 100-400 Mb files and they worked fine while 2-6 GB packages get error quite often (with random times bnetween errors).I dont use any Antivirus program, no firewall, no Linksys or D-Link router (and i think none of problematic programs). I think that problems started when i upgraded my uTorrent to 1.8 Stable (i think previoously had 1.7 but im not sure now)
