Teester
Since updating to 1.4, suddenly i cannot open the program and get a utorrrent.exe - Ordinal not found error. The text of the error is:The ordinal 1001 could not be located in the dynamic link library WSOCK32.DLLAny ideas?
1c3d0g
Sounds like you (or someone else) messed with that .DLL file. :/ Download a new one here:http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?wsock32M$ report on this issue (it could be virus-related): http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=298436
Teester
Thanks, but neither of those helped. I saw somewhere about a path variable error. Looking into that now.Cant tell there. I onlyt get this error with utorrent. If I go to another client (bitcomet, abc, Aseurus) I do not get it.any more suggestions?
ludde
Your system dlls must be broken somehow. Try a reinstall?
Teester
I did a repair installation and a sfc /scannow and its still theretrying to think of what is next. maybe manually extracting a win2k version of wsock32.dll from the install cd and safe mode copying it in? Teester
ok, did a complete reinstall. all works well until i installed utorrent. I immediately get an error looking for ipcfgdll.dll. I downloaded one and put it in the path and now i get that same ordinal error.ANy ideas now? Teester
Heres the big question. On the other 3 computers that I use utorrent on, none of them has that ipcfgdll.dll file anywhere on the system, nor does it ask for it. Any additional ideas? Spong
Which O/S are you using?Sounds like Win98?Are the other machines using the same O/S?If you're using 98 then it's time to upgrade to XP or 2000.Simple as that. You're going to have to do it sooner or later! MaV
Or maybe you're using Windows 95 and don't have Microsoft Winsock update?
Teester
I am using win2k It was working until i put on 1.4, and now even 1.3 does it. I reformatted azd everything. All my other machines are fine. This is too wierd. I have a feeling somewhere besides my regular location for the path command is another one that is overriding or something.
