thelittlefire
You tried opening your data with uT. Don't do it!
DreadWingKnight
Actually, uTorrent doesn't associate with AVIs, only .torrents. Something someone who uses your system did something that caused the association.I'm running Vista x64 ultimate and don't get that behavior. blableblu
Nope, I didn't try to open data with uTorrent. This SS was taken from a fresh installation of the operative system and I'm the only one that uses this computer.
DreadWingKnight
Sounds like a glitched site may have caused the associations to get crossed.( site skipped http://btfaq.com/serve/cache/61.html )
thelittlefire
Noone's saying you're imagining things... uTorrent doesn't touch the .AVI filetype. period.
blableblu
I'll remove the association by editing the registry.Ty.EDIT:You can delete the entries from the 'OpenWithList' key for the particular extension underHKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts in Windows Registry.
