Flappers
Hi, I've tried to understand all the Tec talk but am still new to this so please bear with me. I have UTorrent 1.4 and my D load speed is 900kbps, my upload is around 90kbps. Ive tried the 'TCP Optimiser' and had to System Restore because it crashed Windows. Would it speed up uploading if I allocated high bandwidth to all my uploads and normal b width to my d loads? Please help. Regards Flappers. ICleolion
What is your connection type? What is your upload cap set to?
Animorc
A wild guess would be 10Mbps download and 1Mbps upload. If that's correct, use the Speed Guide ( [Ctrl] + G ) and set it to xx/1Mbit. It should set a reasonable speed-limit and correct slot/connection settings.
Flappers
If by connection type you mean 1Meg'NTL Broadband' (cable) Thats me. My cable comes from outside through a splitter one wire goes to my set top box, the other goes through what I think is a Modem (Small box with flashing led's on the front) and to my pc.Also it says can't connect throgh proxy when I test the port. But I cant find NTL amoung the names listed & there tec supp does'nt know what I'm on about. Thanks, Flappers.
splintax
I think NTL's 1Mbit cable service only has 256k up. It might be an idea to set the speed as xx/256k. How did you come up with the original up/down speed values you listed in your first post?
