opus44
Can I watch movies while they are seeding?
moogly
Yes (sometimes it can lag your movie, it depends). Anyway it's better to stop the torrent job and use the data (especially with exe etc).
opus44
Thanks. I read on another board that playing a file (especialy mp3) could corrupt it. I didn't want to end up getting banned from the network due to hash-fails.
moogly
I do that for various video files and it's ok. But with mp3, yes you can meet issues because players read and modify tags in mp3 headers. So the best way is to stop the torrent and play the data. Switeck
Best to set up such programs so they DON'T modify your files!
Firon
iTunes will modify the file when you play it, but most media players don't do anything like that when watching videos.
