a scheduled auto-wakeup feature

uTorrent now implements an auto-shutdown feature. I want to propose here another "green" feature, another way to try and save power in your PC, by having it run/active ONLY when a scheduled download is expected, and turning it hibernate or standby when not needed. Most of the times - it will be in sync with your RSS releases. For example: you live in Europe and have a US show/episode scheduled to show every Monday at 21:00 US time. You like uTorrent to startup your PC (RSS +download) ~ 22:00 US time every Monday. And you don't want your PC to work all night... or 7/24 ...

With this feature you can have your PC in hibernate or standby mode, and setup uT with a wakeup event(s) that correspond to the expected show times.

how & where to do it

--------------------

This feature can be integrated to -

- the scheduler screen (globally)

- the RSS downloader:

*A expected show time - per favorite

*B an option to trigger wakeup at + X minutes after A

- both

example application that implements such feature - can be seen here:

http://wakeuponstandby.en.softonic.com/

some background and considerations on when to use the hibernate / standby modes is here:

I hope it will get into one of the next releases, and I'm sure it will attract more users being the first of it's kind in any of the uTorrent clients.

edit:

some sample code that might help the devs is in here:
