hehe299792458
As my download speed in uTorrent goes above 500kb/s, my internet connection slows down dramatically. I have a ping command open, and I can see the ping rising from ~25ms at 500kb/s to over 3200ms when uTorrent reaches 1200kb/s. I tried downloading the same torrent with Bit Comet, and I reached 1300kb/s without the ping going above 35ms. Here's my uTorrent settings (sorry, I am not sure what settings I should post):50kp/s cap on upload (tried reducing this to 1kb/s, but it only provided marginal help)unlimited download49519 listening port (I am sure it is forwarded properly)DHT - enabledLocal Peer Discovery - enabledNAT-PMP port mapping - enabledGlobal max number of connections - 2000 (I tried lowering this to 100, but it was of no help)Max number of connected peers per torrent - 500I tested my connection with Glasnost and it said everything was fine. Thanks a lot! DreadWingKnight
NOD32 is known to interfere with system operation.Try adding as many exceptions as you can or temporarily uninstalling it.
hehe299792458
Uninstalling Nod32 did help. It cut my ping to google to around 1900ms. But that still not normal.... Any more suggestions? Thanks!
Switeck
DISABLE: UPnP, NAT-PMP, LPD, DHT (both kinds!), and Resolve IPs (right-click in PEERS window on an active torrent).Keep Peer Exchange enabled...it won't be used on private tracker torrents anyway. You might also need/want to disable Teredo and uTP connections as well.
