spook_man
I have a question which has been erking me since I started using BitTorrents.I've had it before where seeders which are sitting at 100% aren't being used to download the pieces. It always seems to us others which don't have the complete download. There also have been times where the download speed is notrocious and I'm not using any of the 100%'ers. Then it'll go to a 100%'er and my speeds fly, it finishes with whatever peice it needed and then it doesn't use them any longer and the speeds drop again. Is there a way to do a speed test with the peers to see who is offering the best download speeds and use them more often than others? The program GetRight uses this type of concept when downloading large files. It'll search the peers and tell which ones are offering the best response times so you can configure your multiparts appropriate.Thanks..
Switeck
"Is there a way to do a speed test with the peers to see who is offering the best download speeds and use them more often than others?"No, not significantly more than BitTorrent/uTorrent already does. What you're seeing is probably seeds with bad settings...and maybe low upload speed as well.
